like blood like water

this could be very terrifying to think of, the use of appeal to fear is a great way to start this film, Malcolm McDowell reads the diary of a man last in the mexico and goes 7 days without water.

it is summed up with the last line of the quote

"Whom ever of us goes without water for a week crys blood"

i find this intresting because we often take water for granted, also i find it intresting that Malcolm McDowell does the narration because he was the leader in the film "tank girl"
of a company called WP (water and power)

blue is the new black

i found this while looking for the documentary on water. it was quite interesting to watch.

today i learned in propaganda the grouch is not suitable for kids

today i learned in propaganda the grouch is not suitable for kids...
i find this intresting for many reasons.
he has been a member of the gang on SS for a a while (1969 he was orange)

i know wikipedia is not the best place to pull info from but this is a good point
"Through Oscar, children actually learn about respect and tolerance instead of disrespect and intolerance, and they discover that people with different views and lifestyles can still be great friends."

through all his gruff, in some shows (and movies) he will shatter your heart when he openly shows how sad he is.

on that note
have a grouchy day...

its interesting the way we have taken propaganda for granted.
we were rased to believe that the customer is "was" always right inless it conflicts with what "we" say in the industry for the most part. but i posted this video clip because at the end mike douglas asks if anyone can tell him "whats wrong with the hamburger."

i thought this a fitting start being how today i will be talking about the 7 layer burger

I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Law of the Ocean; To help other people at all times, when it benefits me; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and weapons sharp. Scout Law A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

burger mister would be proud at week 10's find

Microsoft has done it again.
This is a very interesting ad, windows partnered with Burger king japan to bring you the windows 7 whopper. this appeal do desire is not only for the average person (priced roughly at $9usd). They are marketing this to the tech based mid 20's worker who is looking for a fun gimmick to try. i dont see this being a staple in Burger king. but then again they are up to a 4 patty burger here on the normal menu. Burger king / Microsoft have a sense of urgency saying this is a short time deal get it while you can, creating a false dilemma. this also in a way has a subtle challenge to the ego. as i sit here looking at it. i find myself thinking. "can i handle that? would i be able to finish that? can i even open my mouth that wide?"

we want you for a new recruit in week 9

This is the original poster, for what was later modified by americans to join the us army. The use of dramatic action is used to engadge the viewer almost as though you were singled out to jump on the band wagon, because its with your help we can do it.

"Scholes says that as early as 1545 "God Save the King" was a password of the Royal Navy, with the response being "Long to reign over us."

this poster is aimed at 17-25 age group, having them do there part to help. again this poster was an effective way for the army to gain applicants because it directly engaged the viewer, giving the feeling of independence while really calling for a jump on the band wagon

and the Glam has it for week 8

This week i will be talking about news satire:
This Moc-Tv News cast uses satire to poke at what some of the more "nerd" related news in headlines these last few weeks.
they adhere to the typical news cast, commercials before the news, flashy intro, music, big desk, mindless chatter before the news starts between the two anchors, to showing the more important news towards the end of the broadcast to keep you watching till the end where at one point they talk about "Nerdflu" that is really swine flu (pax had a outbreak of swine flu as detailed PA) in this they also cut to a live news broadcast where the anchor walks towards the camera giving urgency to the growing epidemic in his appeal to fear.

(also when watching notice the use of gears in the into animation, notice how it starts to resemble the human eye?)
